Academic achievement for students with intellectual disabilities in mathematics and Arabic

The research aims to study the academic achievement of students with intellectual disabilities in mathematics and Arabic. The aim is to identify the most significant forms of educational difficulties facing these students, particularly since the problem of intellectual disability has raised many methodological and scientific questions, resulting in curricula and methods that are compatible with the nature of thinking and aim to advance this group within the educational environment. This is particularly true given that this group has demonstrated numerous cognitive skills and abilities and achieved numerous accomplishments. The research yielded mixed results regarding the academic achievement of students with intellectual disabilities in Arabic and mathematics at the primary level. This group faces many difficulties in Arabic, while achieving positive results in mathematics, which facilitates the process of school integration for this group through the latter subject.

يهدف البحث إلى دراسة التحصيل الدراسي لفائدة التلاميذ في وضعية إعاقة ذهنية في مادتي الرياضيات والعربية, وذلك قصد الوقوف على أهم أشكال الصعوبات التعليمية التي تواجه هؤلاء التلاميذ, خاصة وأن مشكل الإعاقة الذهنية فرض الكثير من التساؤلات المنهجية والعلمية وأفرز بذلك مناهج وأساليب تلاءم طبيعة التفكير وتهدف إلى الرقي بهذه الفئة في الوسط الدراسي, خاصة وأن هذه الفئة قد أظهرت العديد من المهارات والقدرات المعرفية وحققت إنجازات عديدة.
أسفر البحث عن نتائج متباينة بخصوص التحصيل الدراسي لفائدة التلاميذ في وضعية إعاقة ذهنية في مادتي العربية والرياضيات في المستوى التعليمي الأولي, حيث أن هؤلاء الفئة تواجه صعوبات عدة في مادة اللغة العربية بينما تحصل على نتائج إيجابية في مادة الرياضيات, مما يسهل عملية الاندماج المدرسي لفائدة هذه الفئة من خلال هذه المادة الأخيرة.
