The Impact of the Islamic Call on the Darfur Region (A Case Study of the Mahdist Era, 1866–1888)

The paper included an introduction and four chapters. The introduction dealt with an overview of the impact of the Islamic call on the Darfur region. The first chapter dealt with the definition of the study area. In the second chapter of the paper, I was keen to present the religious and tribal reality. In the third chapter, I explained the geographical location of Darfur and its political history. In the fourth chapter, I pointed out the importance of voluntary work in calling to God Almighty, religious activity and its concept. I then concluded this study with the most important results I reached, including the efforts made by Islamic scholars and intellectuals to clarify the meaning of the tribe from a religious perspective in order to reject tribalism, division and dispersion. Working on the interests of the people and achieving their interests is an inevitable matter and a great duty for preachers, which they achieve in this world and will be rewarded for it in the hereafter. Among the most important recommendations is that the preacher should regulate his work according to two principles: the established Sharia texts and the Sharia objectives. Activating the role of the civil administration and giving it full powers that help it maintain security and order in their regions.

شملت الورقة مقدمة وأربعة مباحث تناولت المقدمة نبذه عن تأثير الدعوة الإسلامية على إقليم دار فور ، ثم تناولت المبحث الأول التعريف بمنطقة الدراسة وقد حرصت في المبحث الثاني من الورقة على على تقديم الواقع الديني والقبلي وقد وضحت في المبحث الثالث الموقع الجغرافي لدار فور ، وتاريخها السياسي وفي المبحث الرابع اشرت على أهمية العمل الطوعي في الدعوة إلى الله تعالي ، والنشاط الدينى ومفهومه . ثم ختمت هذه الدراسة لما توصلت إليه من أهم النتائج منها ، بذل الجهود من قبل علماء الدين الإسلامي والمثقفين لتوضيح معنى القبيلة من المنظور الديني من أجل نبذ القبلية والفرقة والشتات والعمل على مصالح الناس وتحقيق مصالحهم امر محتم وواجب عظيم على الدعاة يحققونه في الدنيا ويثابون عليه في الأخرة . ومن أهم التوصيات ينبغى للداعية أن ينضبط عمله بضابطين : النصوص الشرعية الثابتة ؛ والمقاصد الشرعية . تفعيل دور الإدارة الأهلية وإعطاءها الصلاحيات الكاملة التي تساعدها في حفظ الأمن والنظام بمناطقهم .
