مانع الصرف فيما جاء من ألفاظ العدد معدولاً (دراسة تحليلية)
The inflection barrier in the words of the number that came with modification (an analytical study)
The research is titled “The Impermissibility of Declension in Certain Derived Numerical Terms” and adopts a deductive and analytical methodology. Through the study, it became evident that grammarians have varied in their classifications of declension based on several considerations, as follows:
- In proper nouns, such as “Omar.”
- In indefinite nouns, as in numerical terms like “dual” (muthanna).
- Some grammarians consider it realized in forms like “three” (thalath) and “triangular” (muthallath), while others view it as implicit, as in “Omar.”
As for Sibawayh, he referred to the concept of “declension prevention” (‘adl) as a “restriction” (hadd), and the modified noun is described as “restricted” (muhaddad). He states about terms like ‘Umar and Zufar: “They are restricted from the structure to which they are most suited…”
