A proposed training program to develop historical and geographical thinking skills according to the VARK model for social studies teachers at the primary level in the Republic of Yemen

 The research aimed to build a training program to develop historical and geographical thinking skills according to the VARK model among social studies teachers in the Republic of Yemen, using the descriptive survey approach, and the study tools were represented in two questionnaires, the first for historical thinking skills and the second for geographical thinking skills, to determine the training needs of the study sample of (71) teachers, and then build the proposed training program based on them. The research found that the study sample agreed on all training needs to a large degree, and built a program Develops the historical and geographical thinking skills of social studies teachers in the basic stage.

   هدف البحث إلى بناء برنامج تدريبي لتنمية مهارات التفكير التاريخي والجغرافي وفق نموذج فارك VARK لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية في الجمهورية اليمنية، استخدم المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في استبانتين الأولى لمهارات التفكير التاريخي والثانية لمهارات التفكير الجغرافي، لتحديد الاحتياجات التدريبية لعينة الدراسة البالغ عددهم (71) معلماً ومعلمة، ومن ثم بناء البرنامج التدريبي المقترح بناءً عليها. وتوصل البحث إلى موافقة عينة الدراسة على جميع الاحتياجات التدريبية بدرجة كبيرة، وبناء برنامج ينمي مهارات التفكير التاريخي والجغرافي لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية بالمرحلة الأساسية.
