الاقتصاد المعرفي اقتصاد جديد ذو طابع متميز من حيث خصوصية دوره الذي سيقوم به في المستقبل، فهو يمتلك القدرة على الابتكار وايجاد منتجات فكرية معرفية لم تكن معروفة لدى الأسواق من قبل، ويتميز بأنه يستند إلى الابتكار والرقمية لإنتاج السلع والخدمات ذات عائد كبير.

والمعرفة مصدر قوة كبير يؤدي إلى التقدم والارتقاء، لأنها تعتبر العامل الرئيسي لتقدم المجتمعات ولها تأثير على الحياة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية، لذلك لا بد من الاهتمام باقتصاد المعرفة والعمل على تطويره وتحفيزه وخاصةً مع التطور التكنولوجي الذي يشهده العالم بشكل متسارع، ومن أهم المؤسسات التي تسهم في رفد اقتصاد المعرفة المؤسسات التعليمية من خلال توظيف المعرفة واستخدام معطياتها في تقديم منتجات وخدمات متميزة وتحقيق أرباح مرتفعة سواء جديدة أو متجددة ذات جودة عالية. ومن هنا جاءت هذه الدراسة للإجابة على السؤال الرئيس: ما هو دور المؤسسات التعليمية في تطور اقتصاد المعرفة؟

It possesses the ability to innovate and create intellectual products previously unknown to markets. It is characterized by its reliance on innovation and digital technologies to produce goods and services with significant returns.

Knowledge is a major source of power that leads to progress and advancement, as it is considered the primary factor in the advancement of societies and has an impact on economic, social, and political life. Therefore, it is imperative to pay attention to the knowledge economy and work to develop and stimulate it, especially with the rapid technological development the world is witnessing. Among the most important institutions contributing to the knowledge economy are educational institutions, through the use of knowledge and its inputs to provide distinguished products and services, achieving high profits, whether new or renewed, of high quality. Hence, this study aims to answer the main question: What is the role of educational institutions in the development of the knowledge economy?
