جوانب من مظاهر الفقر بتطوان القرن التاسع عشر

تكمن أهمية المقال في كونه يحاول إزالة العتمة عن ظروف صعبة عاشتها بعض عناصر عوام مجتمع المجال التطواني إبان تعرضها لمختلف التحولات والاضطرابات الحاسمة في مرحلة القرن التاسع عشر، تداخلت فيها العناصر الهيكلية بالعوامل الظرفية أنتجت كمًا من الفئات المهمشة على رأسها الفقراء الذين تأتي دراستهم إسهاما أكاديميا أولي لبناء تاريخ حضري ذي صبغة أكثر شمولية بناءا على ذاك الرصيد الوثائقي الذي يسلط – ولو بإيجاز– الضوء عليهم.

وعليه سنحاول إبراز واقع هؤلاء الفقراء من خلال مؤشرات اجتماعية (الطعام، الأشربة، اللباس)، كمنطلق للتأريخ للمستضعفين الذين غيبوا قسرا من الكتابات التقليدية المحلية لأنهم- في نظر القوى المسيطرة- همج وحثالة لا يستحقون ذلك.

The importance of this article lies in its attempt to illuminate the difficult circumstances experienced by some members of the Tétouan community during the various transformations and crucial upheavals of the nineteenth century. Structural elements intertwined with circumstantial factors, producing a number of marginalized groups, most notably the poor. Studying them represents a primary academic contribution to constructing a more comprehensive urban history based on the documentary evidence that sheds light on them—albeit briefly.

Thus, we will attempt to highlight the reality of these poor people through social indicators (food, drink, clothing), as a starting point for chronicling the oppressed who were forcibly excluded from traditional local writings because—in the eyes of the dominant powers—they were savages and scum who did not deserve it.
